Sarah is a Senior Associate at Cullen - The Employment Law Firm.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University of Wellington and a Diploma in Spanish from Spain's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
Sarah has experience in advising clients from a wide range of industries and sectors on their legal rights and obligations in respect of contentious and non-contentious matters.
Sarah has acted for clients in negotiations and mediations, and at the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court and District Court.
Sarah is a member of the New Zealand Law Society, the Employment Law and Women in Law Committees of the Wellington Branch of New Zealand Law Society, and Peace Brigades International.
Sarah has travelled, worked and studied in more than 30 countries and has a strong interest in Latin America. She has recent experience working for an international NGO in human rights in Colombia. The role involved accompanying local human rights advocates and lawyers, political advocacy on their behalf, and being an international observer of human rights processes, including in zones of armed conflict.
Additionally, Sarah has non-legal work experience in a wide range of industries including retail, sales, motor vehicle, entertainment, recreation, not-for-profit, hospitality and tertiary education. She is bilingual in Spanish/English and has an interest in Te Reo and Arabic.
